Our Story
We started Kinso because food lost its name
Somewhere between the farm and the supermarket shelf, food became anonymous. Ingredients from nowhere, processed by no one in particular, optimized for shelf life over flavor and nutrition. Kinso is our answer: a small, defensible catalog where every product has a name, a place, and a person behind it.

How we choose
Five questions every product must pass
Most products fail. That's the point — we'd rather have a short list we can defend than a long one we can't.
01
Can we name the farm?
Not the region. Not the importer. The actual farm or workshop. If the supply chain has a blind spot, we pass.
02
How is it processed?
We favor producers who do less: raw honey, stone-milled grain, oils pressed the day of harvest. Less processing, more food.
03
Would the producer eat it daily?
We visit when we can, and ask this question in person. It tells you more than any certificate.
04
Does the price pay the grower fairly?
Cheap food means someone upstream absorbed the cost. We negotiate honest prices and print origin on every label.
05
Does it taste extraordinary?
Health food shouldn't ask you to suffer for your virtue. If it isn't delicious, the other four questions don't matter.
The bet we're making
That enough people care where their food comes from to support a different kind of store. One that pays farmers properly, refuses the race to the cheapest shelf price, and treats "healthy" as a property of real food — not a marketing label.
Every order you place is a vote for that food system. Thank you for being here.
